Court Refuses Kalu’s Bail Application

Justice Mohammed Liman of the Federal High Court has ordered that former governor of Abia State, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, should remain in the prison custody until his appeal is determined.

Justice Liman wondered the spirit behind the speedy filing of the motion for bail when the appeal against Kalu’s conviction has not been heard.
