Jigawa State Government workers have commenced payment of the 30,000 new national minimum wage for the month of December.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Jigawa State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila, and made available to THISDAY by the Public Relations Officer Office of the Head of the Civil Service.
He said, already, some workers had received bank alerts of their December salary.
He called on workers in the state to reciprocate the gesture by dedicating themselves to duty.
THISDAY spoke with some civil servants, who confirmed that they have collected their December salary with new minimum wage structure.
