How Tambuwal Saved Sultan Of Sokoto From Being DethronedSenator Shehu Sani

Following the dethronement of Muhammadu Lamido Sanusi II, as the Emir of Kano, a former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central district at the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has said that the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Jama’atu Nasril Islam, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, should be thankful to God that Governor Aminu Tambuwal won the 2019 governorship election in Sokoto State.

Shehu Sani pointed out that the monarch should have been sacked had Gov. Tambuwal lost the election to the All Progressives Congress, APC, a party he left prior to the election.

Recall that the Kano State Government under Dr. Umar Abdullahi Ganduje had on Monday announced the immediate removal of Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II.

The Emir was removed for his alleged total disrespect to the lawful instructions from the government and the lawful authorities.

Shehu Sani, who could not return to the Senate after he left the APC in 2018, wrote on Twitter, “If Governor Tambuwal has not been re-elected, the relatively mildly outspoken Sultan of Sokoto too could have been sacked.”

Following the dethronement of Emir Sanusi ii by Governor Ganduje, Kano announced one of the sons of late Emir Ado Bayero, Aminu Ado Bayero the 15th Fulani Emir of the State.
