This brings to eight the total number of discharged patients from the Centre.
The patients, who had been quarantined at the isolation centre for weeks, looked stable and unruffled.
Sanwo-Olu disclosed this in a post on his Twitter page even as he commended the health care team.
The post read: “I am excited to announce some positive news ahead of our lockdown.
“We have just discharged 5 formerly positve #COVID19 patients from our Infectious Disease Hospital after treatment and multiple testing by our specialists.
“Congratulations to the healthcare team and the patients.”
Meanwhile, Nigeria has recorded another death case as cases of patients with COVID-19 continues to increase.
Minister of health, Osagie Ehanire confirmed this on Monday during a press briefing.
