Pro-Biafran agitators marched around Orlu province, Imo state, and environs on Friday, the 26th day of June sensitising the people about the need for a referendum to highlight the need for the Sovereign State of Biafra.
Members of the group numbering about 2000 had stormed the hometown of the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma singing Pro-Biafran songs and chanting “No ruga” “Say no to herdsmen”, “we are IPOB”, “Biafra has come to stay” and “We want a referendum”.

Waving the Biafran flag as they moved round, the protesters asked the indigenes to participate in the march.
They took the march down to the Governor’s community as an open dare to his call for the disbandment of the IPOB organisation in Imo state.
“Biafrans are equally today showcasing to the world that we are ready to boycott every Nigerian elections, we are resolute in our demands, the whole world must know that we are alive”
“Our march today on the roads and streets across Biafraland must send signals to politicians and saboteurs among us that Biafrans are determined to leave the prison called Nigeria where British government experimented to lead black Africans and other black nations across the globe but failed to live up to the expectations for over 100 years because of the Hausa-Fulani caliphate nominations.”
“If Hope Uzodinma is really a man, he should come out and stop us.”
