I’m Not A Lying Politician – Edo Deputy GovPhilip Shaibu

Edo State Deputy Governor Mr Philip Shaibu has stated that some politicians believe in telling lies to be relevant in society but he is very much different.

Shaibu made this claim yesterday in Benin when he represented Governor Godwin Obaseki at the commissioning of Adesuwa Police Barracks’ primary school constructed by the Benin zonal church of Christ Embassy Church of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Edo indigenes, and State police command.

According to him, he does not need to tell lies to people to stay relevant or be respected in the society as many politicians often do.

‘I am a politician with a difference, I am a politician that sees the face of God in everything I am doing. I am not a politician that believes that one is relevant in society by telling lies and that is what we are eradicating in Edo State.

‘Some people play politics with education, some persons during campaigning said they will give free education, but when they get there and see the reality, they will come to tell you it was just a promise,’ he said.

Africa Today News, New York had recently reported that Edo State Deputy Governor, Phillip Shaibu, has debunked news reports claiming that he has concluded plans to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He also denied any form of misunderstanding between him and Governor Godwin Obaseki, over matters concerning the running of the State.
