The town of Emekuku in Owerri North LGA, Imo State which is home to the prestigious Dr. MarkAnthony Nze Soccer Academy, is one of the fastest growing Football Academies in the South-Eastern Nigeria whose main target has been to ensure that grassroot talents are harnessed and showcased to the world for the betterment of humanity.
Established in 2020, the sports academy is solely funded by the popular humanist and social critic – Dr. MarkAnthony Nze whose ingenuity spurred the birthing of the dream to change the lives of young people by leveraging the opportunities in the ever dynamic world of soccer.
On a recent visit to the Academy, Africa Today News, New York was left dumbfounded at the quality of promising talents in the football citadel. It was such a beautiful sight to behold. Marshalled on the principles of hardwork, determination to succeed against all odds, passion for the game and pure talent. There is no gainsaying that it was only going to be a matter of time before these young promising lads get their breakthroughs.

Coached and administered by an experienced hand in Mr. Ekejuiba Nwokpara, these lads are surely in good hands and it is is very safe to posit that the vision of the founder, Dr. Mark MarkAnthony Nze which is to watch them play for top European club sides, on TV is only a matter of time.
Most heart warming is the fact that these lads understand that, to make their dreams come through, passion for the game is indispensable. Of course it is not easy to struggle every day in training and competitions, or even return to fitness after injuries, only strong will power and tenacity can see one through.
