Tinubu Reacts As Osinbajo Undergoes Surgery In Local Hospital

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who is the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, has finally reacted to the Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo’s successful surgery in a local hospital in Nigeria.

Tinubu had also wished Osinbajo a speedy recovery to be able to get well in time too.

Osinbajo had undergone a surgical procedure on his leg due to recurrent pain. The pain is believed to have been sustained from an injury that he had gotten while he had been playing squash.

His spokesman, Laolu Akande, confirmed this in a statement on Saturday.

Reacting, Tinubu, who described Osinbajo as his “good friend” prayed for a quick and uncomplicated recovery from the surgery.

In a tweet, Tinubu wrote: “I wish my good friend @ProfOsinbajo a quick and uncomplicated recovery as he recuperates from his recent, successful surgery.

“May God Almighty grant him complete healing.”

In another report, Bola Tinubu had on Monday night held a meeting with the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye to discuss ways of dousing tension.

Africa Today News, New York gathered that Tinubu had on Monday set up a team of eminent persons with whom he was scheduled to meet the Christian leaders within the party and faith-based organisations such as the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and the Catholic, to appeal to them and secure their support ahead of the elections.

A source in the Tinubu Campaign team, who spoke to reporters on the condition of anonymity revealed that the plan which was going to be a holistic approach to the brewing crisis was to make the Christian community see the reasons behind the Muslim-Muslim ticket, adding that Tinubu himself has decided to lead a team that will appeal to the Christian community.
