The use of ingestions, pills and creams for the purpose of skin lightening is on the increase as more individuals mix hydroquinone, steroids, mercury, lead and triple action cream like Funbact A, Skineal etc to achieve 10x of lighter shade on their skin which they call “Glowing”.

THE DANGER OF MIXING MEDICATED CREAM/DRUGS IN YOUR BODY CREAM (Bleaching)
Many are aware of triple-action topical cream for their fast action examples are funbact-A, Skineal, Olaybact, Dermovate etc. It’s a power combo that serves as Antibacterial (to kill bacteria), anti fungal (kill fungi) anti-inflammatory (to lower inflammatory conditions). Believe me, these creams are so good & very effective BUT when abused, they are a disaster waiting to happen.
Prolong use of the triple action creams (beyond what is prescribed by your doctor) will alongside kill your normal flora (the normal bacteria/fungi that are suppose to live on your skin), the steroid in this triple action are so powerful that prolong use can cause all of the following:
lower your immunity by not allowing the soldiers in your body (white blood cells) fight when needed hence your risk of infection is so high.
Hinder your melanocyte action (causing the fairness you’re seeing). This exposes you to the harmful effect of the sun (UVA AND UVB)- skin canacer, premature skin aging, sun burn etc
– Thins out your skin (striae/stretch marks)
– Delay in wound healing
– Worsening Acne (pimples)
– Hypertension (yes, steroid abuse can cause high blood pressure)
– Diabetes Mellitus
– Muscle weakness and weight gain
– Adrenal crisis (this is a very serious condition that occurs when the steroid you’re applying for a long time shuts down the production of your own innate steroid. When you stop the cream, your system collapses from lack of steroid)
Rebound phenomenon/ Steroid addiction: this is a condition whereby whenever you stop the cream, the issue/problem you started returns in FULL FORCE forcing you to go back to applying it and you get caught in the vicious cycle or steroid addiction. Doing you so much harm but you just can’t stop for the fear of what it does on your skin.
The sad thing is that children are even more prone to this complication way earlier than adults so please this is the time to STOP if you are in that habit. You are slowly destroying that child in a bid to get them to be “fair” or “yellow”.
Prolonged exposure to skin bleaching products and steroids can affect your fertility because 60% of what you use on your skin gets absorbed into the bloodstream.
