What is freedom? It is the quality or state of being free: such as; (a) the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action. (b) liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another
Freedom is important because it provides an opportunity for people to come up with their own ideas as they are at will to do so. Freedom breeds pride in a people or a nation as they are able to hoist their flags in pride knowing that they are not under the rule of intruders. As beautiful as the song of freedom is, how would you understand the idea behind the betrayal and the willingness of the nation’s leaders in gambling with the freedom of her citizens?
This is Nigeria and this is our scary reality.
Freedom exists because there were people who fought to their last breath to support it. There were men who through their blood and sweat fought to hand us the baton of freedom. What have we done with the priceless gift of freedom that has been handed down to us?
Freedom is the sure possession of those alone who have the courage to defend it.

This is the anthem of our dear nation and it encapsulates all the past labor and expectations of men who labored to bring us a better life.
Arise, O compatriots, Nigeria’s call obey
To serve our fatherland
With love and strength and faith
The labor of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.
Our freedom is not for sale!
Our rights are not for sale!
Neither shall we sell the future of our kids.
With our feet firmly planted on our black rich soil, we oppose the insecurities and bloodshed in our land.
Nigeria shall live and be great again!
