Tyson Fury, the WBC heavyweight champion, and Anthony Joshua are back in talks about their all-British heavyweight matchup.
Fury, though, gave his opponent a new deadline by which to agree to their today’s fight.
‘My promoter Frank Warren convinced me to let Queensberry carry on negotiating with your team this week, despite me knowing that you were never going to do this fight,’ Fury said.

Joshua and Fury support various broadcasters in their respective alliances. One of the major sticking points in the talks for this fight was thought to be getting those networks to agree on a TV deal. Fury, though, asserted that the competing stations “are all delighted with the terms.”
Fury explained, “So the deadline was Monday. “I gave Frank permission to keep having meetings with your team, your broadcasters, and everything else. BT, DAZN, and ESPN are now all on the same page. They are all content with everything and prepared to rock.
You guys ask for a lot of things, and even if you’re voluntarily challenging someone, you want to be co-promoters. You guessed it—I said to give it to them and let them co-promote.
Even though you are not an equal shareholder in this party, you desired complete transparency. Understand what I said? Give them complete transparency; I have nothing to hide, I’m not attempting to rob anyone, and I have never robbed anyone of anything.
You now have complete transparency, and everything is honest and just. Now Joshua, the initiative actually lies with you, son.
Joshua has already reaffirmed his intention to sign the contract, but only after consulting with his attorneys and management group.
