Some of the Afghanistan Taliban forces have reportedly fired some live bullets into the air on Thursday while attempting to fully disperse a women’s rally which had been supporting some of the protests in Iran over the death of a woman who had been in the custody of morality police.
Africa Today News, New York reports that the deadly protests had also erupted in neighbouring Iran for the past two weeks after following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini who had been detained by the Islamic republic’s morality police.

Chanting the same “Women, life, freedom” mantra which had been used in Iran, about 25 Afghan women had come out to openly protest in front of Kabul’s Iranian embassy before being dispersed by some of the Taliban forces firing in the air, an AFP correspondent reported.
Women protesters carried banners that read: “Iran has risen, now it’s our turn!” and “From Kabul to Iran, say no to dictatorship!”
Taliban forces had also swiftly snatched some of the banners and tore them in front of the protesters.
Defiant Afghan women’s rights activists have been staging some sporadic protests in Kabul and some other cities since the Taliban stormed back to power last August and the protests which had been banned by the Taliban on the guise that they contravene a slew of harsh restrictions which have been imposed by the hardline Islamists on Afghan women.
The Taliban have forcefully dispersed women’s rallies in the past while warning journalists against covering them and detained activists helming organisation efforts.
In another report, millions of Iranian citizens staged mass rallies across the country to criticise the desecration of Islamic sanctities and acts of vandalism by rioters during recent protests in the country.
Africa Today News, New York reports that millions of Iranians on Sunday took to the streets across the country to vent their frustrations at the acts of vandalism and desecration of Islamic sanctities by rioters in the past few days, as violent street protests have erupted in several Iranian cities over the death of a young woman, who died in hospital days after collapsing at a police station in the capital Tehran.
Many residents took the streets in many cities and towns, including the holy city of Mashhad, the northwestern city of Qazvin, the central city of Esfahan as well as the western cities of Hamedan and Yasuj, to show their unity and outrage over the recent acts of sabotage perpetrated by rioters.
