The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the chief whip of the Senate and former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu over the death of his wife.
Africa Today News, New York reports that the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), lost his 61-year-old wife, Ifeoma Ada yesterday.
The federal lawmaker who is in the race to lead the 10th Senate confirmed the development in a post on his official Facebook page on Monday.
The Chief Whip of the Senate said Ifeoma, who died at the age of 61, was a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of God and humanity.
Kalu wrote, ‘With a heavy heart and pain, we announce the passing on to the eternal glory of Mrs Ifeoma Ada Kalu aged 61.
‘She was a woman of virtue who was committed to the service of God and humanity.
‘A memorial service in her honour is scheduled to hold in the United States of America.’

Recall that Kalu had returned to his Alma Mater, Harvard Business School, United States of America for further studies last week.
In a message, the President consoled the family, friends, and associates, urging trust in God for comfort and care during the difficult period.
Buhari believes the testimonies of Ifeoma’s fear of God and charity should provide strength for loved ones, knowing she lived well.
The president’s statement made public by spokesperson Femi Adesina prayed for the repose of her soul, and fortitude for the family to bear the loss.
Kalu announced that a memorial service in honour of the deceased will be held in the United States of America.
Meanwhile, Nigerians are pouring the death of the former first Lady of Abia State.
