Akeredolu Convenes With Ondo NASS Delegation In Ibadan

Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, hosted a meeting with the state’s National Assembly representatives in Ibadan on Friday, to engage with key stakeholders.

The information was disclosed in a statement issued by Richard Olatunde, Chief Press Secretary to Akeredolu, on Saturday.

The Governor used the meeting as an opportunity to reaffirm his administration’s determination to bring a deep seaport to fruition in the state.

He made it clear that there’s no reversing course on the implementation of this ambitious endeavour.

Governor Akeredolu reiterated that the deep seaport is a cornerstone for the state’s economic expansion.

At the meeting were the Senator representing Ondo North, Senator Jide Ipinsagba; Members of the House of Representatives representing Owo/Ose, Hon. Timehin Adelegbe; Ilaje/Ese-Odo, Hon. Donald Ojogo, Idanre/Ifedore, Hon. Festus Akingbaso; Okitipupa/Irele, Hon. Jimi Odimayo and Akoko South West/South East, Hon. Gboyega Adefarati.

Governor Akeredolu implored federal lawmakers to join forces and back the state’s efforts to establish a deep seaport.

He pledged that his administration would not waver until a stable foundation is constructed for the Ondo port.

In addition, the Governor encouraged federal legislators to work in unity, transcending political boundaries, and prioritize the well-being of the people and the state.

In response, Senator Ipinsagba, representing the National Assemby members, assured the Governor of their full support on behalf of the Ondo NASS Caucus.

Additionally, he expressed his gratitude for the Governor’s safe return and extended prayers for his sustained protection and good health.
