Mohbad Lagos Police Confirms Arrest Of Sam Larry

The Police Command in Lagos State have confirmed the arrest of controversial Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, aka Sam Larry, over an ongoing investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of the singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known Mohbad.

The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the development to reporters in an interview on Friday morning.

‘Yes, Balogun Eletu aka Sam Larry is now in our custody. He is currently assisting with the ongoing investigation,’ Hundeyin said.

Africa Today News, New York reports that the police had earlier invited Sam Larry and singer, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, for questioning over Mohbad’s demise.

The police, last week, also confirmed that pathologists had concluded the autopsy conducted on Mohbad, while they await the result.

He said, ‘Autopsy has been concluded. Awaiting results.’ This development followed the exhumation of Mohbad by a combined team of the Nigeria Police Force and health officials.

The police had also arrested the nurse who reportedly injected the deceased singer before his demise on Tuesday, 12th September.

Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has said he is ready to return to Nigeria to clear his name over his alleged involvement in the death of his former label signee, Mohbad.

Naira Marley made the disclosure on Wednesday during an interview session with Social Media influencer, Reno Omokri.

Since the death of Mohbad, there has been social media outrage after several videos surfaced of the late singer accusing Naira Marley of masterminding his gang-beating

Again, the label boss who granted his first interview since the saga said there’s a lot of mob poisoned by the media against his person and stressed that he’ll return to the country if the police guarantees his safety.
