President Bola Tinubu has extended the ₦25,000 wage increment to all levels of workers in the civil service, the Presidency has confirmed.
According to NTA, this was disclosed by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Gbajabiamila said the twenty-five thousand naira earlier announced by President Bola Tinubu for low-grade federal workers as intervention would now cut across all levels of workers.
Africa Today News, New York recalls that the Tinubu government had on Sunday announced a N25,000 wage award to low grade workers in the civil service, as part of measures to cushion the impact of the fuel subsidy removal policy.

The President made the pledge on Sunday during his nationwide broadcast to mark the Independence Day anniversary.
He noted that the salary increase will last for a period of six months.
In the meantime, the National Association of Seadogs otherwise known as the Pyrates Confraternity, has called on President Bola Tinubu to immediately ensure the creation of a state police among other security measures to combat insecurity in the country.
It is also demanded autonomy for the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to formulate necessary monetary policies to salvage the naira.
The NAS Capoon, Mr. Abiola Owoaje. in an Open Letter to President Bola Tinubu entitled ‘Nigeria is Bleeding’ expressed displeasure that insecurity which ravaged Nigeria under Tinubu’s predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, still persists.
Owoaje, who acknowledged efforts of the Tinubu’s administration to ‘inspire hope by making economic and political adjustments to revive the ailing economy’ regretted that Nigeria is bleeding under President Tinubu.
He pointed out that hope rekindled in Nigerians with the change of the Service Chiefs has not been sustained just as insurgents and other non-state actors are operating unchecked across the country.
