CP Aboki Danjuma has taken over the responsibilities of Commissioner of Police in Imo State on Tuesday, succeeding CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde in the position.
Confirming the details through an official statement, Henry Okoye, the spokesperson for the Imo Police, announced this while also affirming CP Barde’s posting to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
Danjuma, the 41st Commissioner of Police in Imo, is stated by Okoye to hail from the Wukari Local Government Area (LGA) in Taraba State.
‘He enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in 1992 and holds a Bachelor Degree in Library Science from the prestigious Amadu Bello University, Zaria,’ he said.
‘He is a seasoned Police officer, strategist and crime fighter who has served the Force meritoriously in various capacities including Divisional Police Officer and Area Commander in different Police Commands.’
Serving in various capacities, Danjuma was the Admin Officer at Ondo State Police Command and later assumed the role of Deputy Commissioner of Police overseeing the State Criminal Investigation Department (DCSCID) in Niger State Police Command.

CP Danjuma’s proactive approach to professional development is highlighted by his participation in a range of courses, both locally and internationally, including the notable Combat Operations Course (COC).
CP Danjuma’s impressive professional credentials include the completion of key courses such as the Intermediate Command Course (ICC), Tactical Leadership Command Course (TLCC), and Senior Leadership and Command Course (SLCC).
