The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu has made a strong case for a comprehensive review of the global tax system because of its present imbalances which has continued to pose bottlenecks for trade and development.
Tinubu submitted that the interests of wealthier nations predominantly influence the international tax regime to the detriment of developing economies.
He made this assertions while speaking the Third South Summit of the Group of 77 and China in Kampala, Uganda over the weekend.
Tinubu, represented at the event by Budget and Economic Planning Minister and former Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, emphasised Nigeria’s commitment to multilateralism in addressing global challenges.
