Forest Consider Mourinho, Silva, Postecoglou For Manager

Nottingham Forest are actively seeking a new head coach following the dismissal of Nuno Espírito Santo after just three matches into the 2025–26 Premier League season. The decision came amid escalating tensions between Nuno and club owner Evangelos Marinakis, particularly concerning transfer delays and strained relations with the newly appointed Global Head of Football, Edu.

In light of Nuno’s departure, Forest are considering several high-profile candidates to fill the managerial vacancy. Ange Postecoglou, who was recently dismissed by Tottenham Hotspur despite leading them to a Europa League title, has emerged as a leading contender. His previous success in revitalizing teams and his personal connection with Marinakis, stemming from their shared Greek heritage, position him as a strong candidate.

Other potential candidates include José Mourinho, who was recently let go by Fenerbahçe in Turkey. Mourinho’s extensive experience in European football and his history of success in various leagues make him a notable option.

Marco Silva, currently managing Fulham, is also reportedly under consideration. However, securing his services could prove challenging due to his ongoing commitments with the London club.

Forest are aiming to appoint a new manager promptly, with their next match against Arsenal on the horizon. The club’s ownership is keen on making a decision that aligns with their long-term vision and ensures continued success on the pitch.
