The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has ruled out any involvement in partisan politics, saying no amount of money—including $1 billion—could persuade him to abandon his spiritual calling.
Oyedepo made the remarks while speaking during the impartation service at Shiloh 2025, the church’s annual convocation, held at Faith Tabernacle in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State.
Addressing worshippers, the cleric emphasized that his life’s mission lies firmly within ministry, not political office. He urged believers to remain focused on their divine assignments, arguing that influence and leadership are most effective when rooted in purpose.
Recalling earlier warnings to the church, Oyedepo said he had cautioned members in 2015 about difficult times ahead.
“In 2015, I warned the church that trouble was coming. Didn’t trouble come?” he said. “Partisan politics is off my calling. If you give me $1 billion to join politics, I won’t, because it’s off my course.”
Oyedepo framed his message within what he described as a period of global and national distress, saying the world is in urgent need of divine intervention rather than political maneuvering.
Citing Romans 8:19, he said humanity is waiting for the “manifestation of the children of God,” adding that spiritual leadership would play a key role in addressing societal challenges.
“The world is groaning in darkness,” he said. “The army of God is about to emerge to proffer solutions to national crises in the order of Joseph and Daniel. It is the day of what eyes have not seen or ears heard.”
The bishop encouraged church members to avoid distractions tied to wealth, power, or status, stressing that meaningful national impact begins with faithfulness to one’s God-given assignment.

According to him, biblical figures such as Joseph and Daniel influenced entire nations not through political ambition but by remaining aligned with their divine purpose.
Shiloh 2025 began on December 9 and will conclude on December 14, 2025, drawing thousands of worshippers from Nigeria and abroad for spiritual teaching, prayer, and fellowship.
The annual event is one of the largest Christian gatherings in Africa and remains a central platform for Winners Chapel’s teachings on faith, leadership, and purpose.
