The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu has returned the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to the Office of Vice President (VP) Kashim Shettima for supervision henceforth reversing a policy action undertaken by his predecessor.
In a statement signed by Olusola Abiola, a Director of Information in the Office of the Vice President, the action of the President is in compliance with their various establishment Acts.
‘The President has also approved a formal structure for the Office of the Vice President as well as an appropriate number of technical and administrative aides that will work with the Vice President in the discharge of his responsibilities,’ the statement which was obtained by Africa Today News, New York added.
Meanwhile, the President, hours earlier on Tuesday, departed Abuja for a two-day Summit in Paris, France.

Africa Today News, New York reports that the President is expected to join world leaders in Paris from June 22 to 23 to review and sign a New Global Financial Pact that places vulnerable countries on a priority list for support and investment, following the devastating impact of climate change, the energy crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recall that there was a gale of the sack in the nation’s security architecture, and ministries and parastatals, yesterday following a clean sweep as President Bola Tinubu retired all the service chiefs, advisers, and the Comptroller-General of Customs, and dissolved boards of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, MDAs and parastatal.
Additionally, the president made a number of senior military leaders redundant in a move that rocked the nation’s security system.
The adjustments were made shortly before President Tinubu took his first international trip as the elected head of state to France, where he recently commanded the security chiefs to collaborate and crush oil thieves and criminals.
