Delivering the judgment, Justice Sylvester Ngwuta declared that the grounds of the two appeals brought by the appellant were dismissed for lack of merit.

He added that the grounds of the appeals were blanket in law, unproved and could not accommodate all infractions of the electoral process.

NAN recalls that the appellant in his appeals lost in the tribunal and appeal court.

He argued that the winner of the guber poll did not win the majority of total votes cast in the election conducted on March 9, 2019 besides other alleged electoral infractions.
