An Italian man and a Japanese woman tested positive to coronavirus in Malaysia on Friday, raising the country’s infections to 25, Health director-general Datuk Noor Hisham Abdullah revealed.

He said that the Japanese woman, who works in Malaysia, travelled to Japan and Indonesia in February.

The Italian, meanwhile, is married to a Malaysian, and visited Italy for work from Feb 15 to 21.

On Thursday, the Health Ministry announced that a 53-year-old Malaysian woman who recently visited Japan had tested positive for Covid-19, becoming Malaysia’s 23rd case of the virus.–New Straits Times
