COVID-19 - Imo Bans Easter Church Services

The Imo state government has banned Easter church services in the state.

The state commissioner for Information and strategy, Declan Emelumba, said that lockdown in the state against the spread of COVID-19 will continue.

He disclosed that the government lifted the lockdown order on Friday to enable people shop for the Easter celebration.

The information commissioner said that the lockdown continues from Saturday..

Emelumba said that the government was determined to taking measures to ensure that the virus did not spread to the state.
