IPOB: Security Officials Whisk 50 Away From Church In Enugu

In a bizarre, unprecedented incident yesterday, some members of a Church in Enugu state were carted away by some gunmen who were identified as members of the Nigerian security force.

Africa Today News, New York who reliably got hold of a video recording of the incident can report that some of the gunmen were camouflaged in Nigerian Police uniforms while the others were in military camoflages and plain clothes.

The video showed security officials brandishing their weapons at the frightened men as they marched them out of the church in a single file with their hands high up in the air. The men were made up of youths and other elderly men.

It was alleged that the members were part of the outlawed Indigenous Poeple of Biafra (IPOB) group and the security officials were on a crackdown mission.

At the time of filing this news, the Enugu State police command has not made an official statement as regarding the whereabouts or the reason why the men where unlawfully taken away from the church.
