No fewer than two Libyan security officers were killed and five others injured in a blast at a security checkpoint on yesterday.
Africa Today News, New York gathered that the blast occurred in the southern city of Sabha, after a suicide bomber detonated a car bomb.
Interim Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah offered condolences to families of the two ‘martyrs’ killed while condemning the attack as a ‘cowardly terrorist act’.

‘Our war against terrorism continues, and we will strike hard in all their hideouts,’ he said in a Twitter post.
The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
