Liverpool Too Big To Rely On Salah, Klopp Insists

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has hinted they’re preparing for a potential departure of Mohamed Salah insisting that the Anfield side is too big to rely on only the Egyptian.

Africa Today News, New York reports that Salah is still locked in new contract talks with the Reds and with the arrival of Luis Diaz arrives from Porto, the situation has further gotten complicated.

Klopp postulated that the move is to help his star players and the club to keep evolving.

‘This club is too big to rely on single persons, whether that’s me or a player, and has to be ready for all different scenarios,‘ he said.

‘We constantly prepare for today and for tomorrow as well. We need options and we need help. All development includes fresh blood as well and that’s what we did with Diogo Jota when he came here and now when we signed Luis it is exactly the same.

Meanwhile, Sallah’s Egypt beat tournament hosts Cameroon 3-1 on penalties after a goalless 120 minutes to set up an Africa Cup of Nations final showdown against Senegal.

Africa Today News, New York reports that Cameroon had dominated the first half – Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui hitting the post in the pick of the chances – but let the game run away from them as Egypt took control of the tie.
