Ukraine: You Will Pay For Your Actions – U.S Threatens Putin

The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden on Wednesday morning closed American airspace to Russian aircraft while also sending fresh warnings to the Russian President over his invasion of Ukraine.

Biden, in a broadcast on Wednesday which was monitored by Africa Today News, New York, declared that Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a ‘high price over the long run’.

Russia’s bombardment of Ukraine entered it sixth day as the one sided war continues to rage on, with Moscow’s miles-long military convoy now stalled near Kyiv, according to Al Jazeera.

During his address on Tuesday, Biden criticised Putin and led a standing ovation for the embattled Ukrainian people.

‘Let each of us if you’re able to stand, stand and send an unmistakable signal to Ukraine and to the world.

‘While he [Putin] may make gains on the battlefield – he will pay a continuing high price over the long run,’ Biden said.

The President revealed that the United States’ next action against Putin would be to seize yachts and apartments of Russian oligarchs, saying: ‘We are coming for your ill-begotten gains.’

Meanwhile, President Putin has ordered his defence chiefs to put the country’s nuclear ‘deterrence forces’ on high alert while also accusing the West of taking ‘unfriendly’ steps against his country which would not go unnoticed.

Africa Today News, New York reports that international tensions have continued to soar over Russia’s last Thursday’s invasion of Ukraine.

Recall that Putin had also warned the West of severe consequences should any of them consider military intervention.

It is now believed that Putin’s order will now cause further alarm and more tension if steps are not taken to de-escalate.
