Police Nab PDP Rep, Farah Dagogo Following Wike’s Order

The Rivers State police command have confirmed the arrest of a member of the House of Representatives, Farah Dagogo following an order by the State Governor, Nyesom Wike to that effect.

Africa Today News, New York reports that Hon. Dagogo is a gubernatorial aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2023 elections.

Recall that the lawmaker and ‘political thugs’ were amongst those declared wanted on Wednesday evening by Governor Wike following series of allegations.

Wike had accused Dagogo of unleashing ‘cultists’ to disrupt and bring to a halt the screening of aspirants at the PDP State Secretariat in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.

Dagogo in his reaction, denied the allegations while also going on to accuse the Governor of lying and bullying aspirants who want to succeed him.

He urged the police to arrest and investigate Efeturi Irikefe, “Camp Commandant to the Governor” for his actions at the PDP office.

Africa Today News, New York can confirm that Dagogo is now in the custody of the Rivers State Police Command in Port Harcourt.

Africa Today News, New York recalls that the Governorship aspirant, had earlier called on the general public to hold the Governor Wike responsible should anything happen to him following the recent happenings.

Dagogo, who is also siting a member of the House of Representatives, was yesterday declared wanted by Gov. Wike for allegedly hiring “cultists’ to disrupt the screening of aspirants at the State party secretariat in Port Harcourt.

In a statement issued on Thursday by his media aide, Ibrahim Lawal, the lawmaker accused the Governor of lying against him.

He pointed out that he was never at the party secretariat on the said day for the screening as he is a governorship aspirant and not a State House of Assembly or House of Representatives aspirant, those whose screening were scheduled for Wednesday at the party secretariat.
