Super coach Jose Mourinho has been lined up to replace Mauricio Pochettino as Paris Saint-Germain’s manager in an open contract that has not been fully completed.

The French champions are on the verge of parting company with Pochettino, who has been walking a tight rope for the last two seasons.

However, SunSport reported that the Parisians are now contemplating replacing the Argentine with the resurgent Mourinho.

The Portuguese breathed new life into his floundering managerial career with Serie big boys Roma last season.

The Special One guided the Italians to Europa Conference League glory last month and a sixth-place league finish.

And the 59-year-old’s stellar debut season at the Stadio Olimpico has promoted PSG chiefs to weigh up a summer swoop for his services.

PSG will have to dig into their deep pockets to land the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss as his contract with the Giallorossi expires in the summer of 2024.

Paris Saint-Germain are disposed to sacking their manager, Mauricio Pochettino in the coming days.

This claim was made by respected football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

Romano stated this in a tweet via his Twitter account on Friday night.

According to him, one more meeting is needed for PSG to make an official decision on Pochettino’s fate at the club.

He tweeted, “Paris Saint-Germain are oriented to sacking Mauricio Pochettino in the coming days. One more meeting is needed to make an official decision – it will take place once Nasser Al Khelaifi’s back.

“Leonardo’s departure will be announced very soon, with Campos set to join PSG.”

Recall that doubts have been cast over Pochettino’s future at PSG in recent weeks, with the French Ligue 1 champions unconvinced by what they have seen since his appointment in January 2021.
