APC Presidential Primary We Are Set, Ready To Go – Akeredolu

The Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu who is the Chairman of the sub-committee on Security and Compliance for the All Progressives Congress (APC), special convention for the Presidential Primary, has given his guarantees that the party’s primary poll which is expected to commence tomorrow will be free of hitches.

Africa Today News, New York gathered that Akeredolu, in the company of the committee’s co-chairman, Gen Abdulrahman Danbazau (Rtd), on Saturday paid a visit to Eagle Square, the primary election’s location, to examine the degree of preparedness ahead of the convention.

The Governor disclosed that the party is prepared for the election, emphasizing that work on the venue, security, and other relevant operations has already begun.

Akeredolu stated that the APC would have a trouble-free primary, stressing the party is a disciplined political party with disciplined members.

‘This is not our first time using this Eagle Square. We have knowledge of the venue already. No doubt, we are ready.

‘We have already started working on the venue, on security and everything. So, We are ready. I think we are good to go.

‘The APC is a disciplined party. We are going to have a hitch-free primary. We are a disciplined party and our members will show discipline here on the D-day.’

Meanwhile, the party has denied disqualifying 10 presidential aspirants contrary to widely held insinuations.

The clarification was made by the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, when he addressed newsmen at the party secretariat in Abuja on Saturday night.

Africa Today News, New York had earlier reported that the screening report of the John Odigie-Oyegun-led committee had caused panic in the camps of the 23 aspirants.

The suspense was further heightened when the party and Oyegun kept mum on the 13 cleared aspirants.
