'Do The Right Thing'- Davido Blasts Gov. Oyetola For Trinbunal

Superstar musician, David Adeleke also known as Davido has open advised Governor Gboyega Oyetola to “do the right thing” by congratulating his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, who had been declared the winner of the July 16 governorship election in Osun.

Adeleke was declared the winner after he scored 403,371 votes while the incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 375,027 votes.

However, Oyetola is yet to congratulate Adeleke and has now challenged the PDP candidate’s victory at Tribunal.

The governor submitted a 1,250-page petition, challenging the results in 749 polling units out of 3,763.

He challenged the results on grounds of over-voting and others.

Reacting to the move by Oyetola, Davido took to social media to call out the governor.

The Nigerian entertainer wrote: “Your excellency sir, Gboyega Oyetola, when will you congratulate the Incoming governor of your state @AAdeleke_01. In 2018 my uncle congratulated you even though it was stolen … do the right thing baba. one love.”

On the petition filed by Oyetola, Davido said the governor will lose again.

In another report, the Pro-Chancellor of Adeleke University, Dr. Deji Adeleke, has sent a strong warning to the recently elected Osun State Governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke urging him not to derail the state.

Adeleke, who is the father of popular Nigerian popstar, Davido, threatened to call a press conference against Adeleke if his administration derails from improving the lives of the people of Osun State. Warning him that the people of the state can never be taken for granted.

He made this disclosure while speaking at the 8th undergraduate and 4th postgraduate convocation of Adeleke University over the weekend.

Adeleke, who is the Governor-elect’s elder brother, insisted that Ademola has no reason to fail because he is not answerable to any godfather.
