Legendary veteran vocalist, Celine Dion, has been showered with an outpour of love and support from fans following the reveal of her battle with a rare incurable ailment.
In a video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday which was obtained by Africa Today News, New York, the 54-year-old disclosed that she’d been diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder known as the Stiff Person Disease
Stating that her 2023 shows will be postponed till 2024, the songstress explained that the disease incapacitates her from going on with her daily activities.
‘I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time and its been really difficult for me to face my challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through,’ she said.
‘Recently, I’ve been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called the stiff person syndrome which affects 1 in a million people.’

Following her announcement, celebrities and fans took to her social media pages to show the ailing singer their support in her trying times.
Fellow singer, Jennifer Hudson, replied in the comment section, ‘We love you! I pray your strength and healing in the lord. Amen .’
Fashion icon, Donatella Versace, also commented, ‘Celine, I am thinking of you and sending you all my love. You are talent personified and, as you get better, your power and presence will be felt everywhere again. Wishing you the speediest recovery.’
