Mohbad's Death Police Finally Arrest Naira Marley

Reports reaching the desk of Africa Today News, New York has it that under fire Nigerian Music star, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities over the death of his former singee, Mohbad.

This was confirmed by Lagos State Police Command PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin via his X handle.

He wrtoed, ‘Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities…#justice4Mohbad #justiceforMohbad.’

A few hours earlier, the Marlian Music boss had came out to announce via his verified X handle on Tuesday night that he had returned to Nigeria.

He wrote, ‘I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole. I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.’

Africa Today News, New York recalls that Naira Marley has debunked allegations that he has a hand in the death of Mohbad, stressing that despite their fallout in 2022, ‘no harm was wished on him.’

In a related development, Mr. Joseph Aloba, who is the father of late Nigerian artists has demanded a DNA test on his grandson.

Recall that Nigerians have been torn apart over calls for a DNA test on the late singer’s son, Liam, to ascertain his true paternity.

While some are of the opinion that it was important to conduct a DNA test on the late singer’s son in the wake of allegations that his wife cheated on him, others argued that the calls for a DNA test on Mohbad’s five-month-old son were ‘insensitive.’

However, speaking in a recent interview with BBC Pidgin, Mohbad’s father said a DNA test should be conducted on his grandson, stressing that it has become a global concern.
