How 2 Christian Judges Sacked Me From Office – Nasarawa Gov
Governor Abdullahi Sule

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has come out to allege that two Christian judges actually conspired at the elections tribunal to remove him from office due to religious sentiments.

Sule made the claim in Abuja on Tuesday while speaking at the 2023 Peace and Development Submit for Young University Students.

Speaking in a video which was sighted on Thursday morning, Sule recalled that before the 18th of March governorship election in Nasarawa, Bishop Abioye of Living Faith had called on Christians to vote for Christians only.

The governor claimed that the statement contributed to his sack by the tribunal.

He accused the judges of hinging the tribunal’s judgement on religious sentiments, instead of the facts presented before them.

‘A lot of you must have read the tribunal ruling in our state when two of the judges, who are Christians, decided that a Christian won the election and one Muslim judge decided that it is the Muslim who won the election,’ he said.

Africa Today News, New York recalls that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), had a fortnight ago, issued a statement, calling on Governor Abdullahi Sule to refrain from implicating President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, traditional rulers, and fellow Nigerians in the state’s political matters.

They asserted that the state’s political scenario, encompassing the ongoing gubernatorial dispute at the tribunal, is intricately tied to the court’s judgment on the March 18 election.

The party, through a statement signed by Francis Orogu, the State PDP Chairman, and shared with newsmen in Lafia, said that the era of politics had passed. They emphasised that moving from one stance to another in search of favour was not the answer to fulfilling the desires of the Nasarawa people.
