He said, ‘In every institution, there should be a reward system. This is a way of motivating individuals to give their best to the country. It is also another way of identifying committed and loyal citizens. There is a need for more commitment dedication and loyalty in order for the nation to move forward.’

‘Many of the awardees are from the security sector. It is part of the ways to encourage them to continue with what they are doing. This will help them deal with the security situation in the country.’

However, he appealed to Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu, providing assurance that the prevailing challenges would be resolved soon.

Bruatai said, ‘We should still have hope. He has assured us of a renewed hope. I call on Nigerians not to lose hope and should be patient there is light at the end of the tunnel. We will get that promised land.’

Among the recipients are Oba Hammeed Makama, the Olowu of Owu-Kuta Kingdom; Retired Major General AA Tarfa; Retired Major General Victor Ezugwu; Mamma Murtala, Director of DSS in Borno State, and the late Dr. Bako Angbasim, among several others.
