Air Peace Ups Lagos-London Route Capacity Amid Surging Demand

In response to a growing demand, Air Peace, a prominent airline based in Nigeria, has disclosed its intention to enhance capacity on the Lagos-London route.

The announcement was made public through the airline’s verified Facebook page on Wednesday.

With the augmented seat availability, individuals looking to fly to London with Air Peace now enjoy a wider range of choices.

The statement read, “Due to overwhelming demand and interest in our London route, we have decided to increase the capacity on the route. This means that more seats are now available.

“Air Peace would like to thank the Nigerian population, both in Nigeria and in the United Kingdom, for their support. We do not take it for granted, and we will be doing our best to continue to make the whole country proud.”

The airline inaugurated its first London-bound flight on Saturday, accommodating 260 passengers on a Boeing 777, despite its 274-seat capacity. The daily service from Lagos is now in full operation.

The introduction of this initiative has altered the market dynamics, prompting foreign airlines, which once held a stronghold on the route, to review their pricing strategies.

Allen Onyema, Air Peace’s Chief Executive Officer, announced that tickets for Lagos-London flights with the airline are unavailable until September.

During a Monday interview with Arise TV, Onyema highlighted that the airline currently possesses in excess of 30 aircraft and has set plans in motion to acquire an additional 33.

He stressed that Air Peace is committed to enlarging its fleet to surpass 60 aircraft.
