Superstar Nigerian musician, Ahmed Ololade, professionally known as Asake has pointed out that he is upbeat that he might get more Grammy nominations and probably win next year.
The ‘Money’ crooner assured his fans that he is not brooding his Grammy loss to South Africa’s Tyla in the just concluded awards.
Tyla’s ‘Water’ defeated Asake, Davido, Arya Starr other Nigerian songs to win the maiden Best African Music Performance category at the 66th Grammys.
However, speaking in a recent interview with GQ magazine which was monitored by Africa Today News, New York, the ‘Mr Money With The Vibe’ crooner said he doesn’t take it as a loss.
He is upbeat that he might get more Grammy nominations and probably win next year.
“It [Grammy loss] is not a loss for me. I might just get more next year. In my head, I was not even taking it too seriously,” he said.
On his mind space for his sophomore album, ‘Work Of Art,’ Asake said: “People don’t really know me because I’m quiet.
“So everybody started seeing me as mystery. ‘Work of Art’ is just for them to know me. You have to understand I’m human, but you can’t just deny the heart in me.”
In January, Asake released a new single titled ‘Only Me’ his first release of the year on the occasion of his birthday on January 13.
The music star’s rhythmic journey through ‘Only Me’ captures the essence of self-discovery and unapologetic pride in personal achievements.
Asake seamlessly maintains his signature flow while infusing an irresistible dance beat in the song.
He also beckones for applause, labeling himself a ”child of grace”.

Asake gained prominence in 2020 after he put out ‘Lady’, his hit song.
He signed to YBNL Nation in February 2022. That same month, he released his debut extended play, Ololade, featuring his breakthrough song ‘Omo Ope’ and Olamide and the single ‘Sungba.’
He has received several awards and recognitions for his talent.
He recently got a Grammy nomination in the Best African Music Performance’ category for ‘Amapiano’, his hit song with Olamide, the rapper.
In 2023, he clinched the prize for music at the 2023 Future Awards.
