Israel has spearheaded a diplomatic campaign against Iran, urging 32 countries to enforce sanctions on the Revolutionary Guards and their missile development program.
Iran launched an unprecedented direct offensive against Israel late on Saturday, utilizing over 300 drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles, in retaliation for a deadly April 1 airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
As per the Israeli military, it managed to intercept 99 percent of the aerial menaces with assistance from the United States and other allied nations. The attack resulted in only minor damage, including to a military facility in the southern part of the country.
Foreign Minister Israel Katz disclosed the launch of a diplomatic maneuver to tackle Iran.

“Alongside the military response to the firing of the missiles and the UAVs, I am leading a diplomatic offensive against Iran,” Foreign Minister Israel Katz said on X.
“This morning, I sent letters to 32 countries and spoke with dozens of foreign ministers and leading figures around the world, calling for sanctions to be imposed on the Iranian missile project and that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps be declared a terrorist organisation”.
Katz opted not to reveal the identities of the governments he had urged to enforce sanctions against the Revolutionary Guards, an entity already branded as a terrorist group by the United States and subject to punitive measures by the European Union.
Israeli authorities have vowed to take action against Iran, following the latter’s statement that its weekend attack was a reaction to the strike on the Iranian consulate, resulting in the deaths of seven Revolutionary Guards, including two generals.
“Iran must be stopped now – before it is too late,” Katz said on Tuesday.
