The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has asserted that the President Bola Tinubu-led administration has restored hope in the minds of Nigerians since taking about a year ago.
Wike, who remarked on the ministerial sectoral update, also highlighted some of the achievements of his ministry within the one year under review.
Africa Today News, New York reports that the Tinubu-led APC government will on the 29th of May this year officially mark his one year anniversary in office.
The Minister listed the implementation of the FCT service commission, the inclusion of the women’s secretariat in the FCT, which now has a mandate Secretary, and the exit of the FCTA from the Treasury Single Account to pave way for access to the FCT’s internally generated revenue for the execution of projects.
Others are: improved security (provision of security vehicles and other paraphernalia), Construction of roads, Rehabilitation of The Abuja light rail project, Rehabilitation of school across the FCT, Improved roads and critical infrastructure.

Mr Wike also announced the commissioning of 120 kilometres of road in six area councils and other projects to be commissioned on May 27th.
Meanwhile, the leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Edwin Clark, has once again lashed out at the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, accusing him of instigating confusion against Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State.
Clark asserted that Wike was dancing naked in the open market in the politics of madness in Rivers State.
He accused the minister of controlling both the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
This was contained in a letter dated May 20, 2024, and addressed to both the chairmen of the APC and PDP.
