A Chieftain in All Progressive Congress (APC), Lagos Chapter, Hon. Moshood Adegoke Salvador, has described Bode George’s interest to run for presidency in 2023 as an insult to the country.
He said this during an interview while speaking to Journalists in Lagos.
Recall that his Special Adviser, Mr. Uthman Shodipe-Dosunmu, disclosed that the former PDP Deputy National Chairman, Chief Bode George is expected to run for President in 2023.

Salvador said, “If not sickness in this country, Chief Olabode George current acclaimed age is 74 years. In 2023, He will be around 77 years. It’s an insult to this nation that we are brainless and not serious…
“In PDP where he belongs, has no good record. He was the former governor of Ondo state, He was PDP southwest leader and there was nothing to show for it. Can Bode George tell us where his factory is? What is his work? For him to have come out to say he wants to contest in 2023, then the EFCC must investigate him.”
Speaking further on the alleged plan that Bode George’s aspiration will be funded by Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and other PDP governors, He said, “I have heard from his followers that Seyi Makinde is to fund his campaign. He (Makinde) should be very careful and run away from Bode George. Bode George only wants to collect money and escape with it. He’s just interested in amassing the money and run away. Bode George succeeded in killing the PDP in Lagos state for over 20 years.”
He also urged the youths to demonstrate against any aspirations and candidacy of Bode George and most importantly reject his kind of personality to lead a nation like Nigeria.
While advising the youths on the need to get ready to take up take the mantle of leadership because of the best of luck, opportunity and resources that abound, he urged the National Assembly to make laws compelling the youth to contest for some positions and some quota should be reserved at the political parties for the youth and not only those who have “money”.
