President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday received the newly elected president of Niger, Mohamed Bazoum at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Nigerien president was in the country for a two-day official visit.
The Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammed Bello and some presidential aides were part of the team that welcomed the president.
Africa Today News, New York reports that the two West African leaders went into closed doors bilateral talks immediately after the brief welcome ceremony.
