‘It is now our turn to rally round you, work hard and ensure a resounding victory in the 2023 elections. At hand to receive us was the Speaker @HouseNGR @femigbaja and the former Borno State Governor @KashimSM.’
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesperson, Femi Adesina, has shared details about the reasons his principal refused to impose any presidential aspirant on the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ahead of the APC special convention, Buhari had said that he has a candidate of his choice.
However, the president eventually urged everyone to allow party delegates to decide, stressing that he has no anointed candidate.
This led to former Governor of Lagos state, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, emerging the party’s flag bearer ahead of ex-Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi and vice president Yemi Osinbajo.
Adesina, in his latest piece, claimed Buhari showed how much of a democrat he was, one who would walk the talk of his promise regarding leaving a legacy of a free, fair and credible process for the country.
