Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, an influential figure within the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, expresses strong confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s potential to address the nation’s economic challenges.
Oyintiloye, a former member of the now-defunct APC Presidential Campaign Council, made this statement during an interview with reporters on Sunday in Osogbo, the capital of the state.
He urged Nigerians to exercise patience and rally behind the President’s initiatives to rejuvenate the economy.
In addition, the APC chieftain encouraged Nigerians, whether in their home country or living abroad, to believe in the practical measures implemented by the President to overcome the range of economic challenges facing the nation.
Stressing Tinubu’s genuine care for Nigerians, he highlighted that the President was fully aware of the challenges well in advance of assuming the role and had made thorough preparations.

He said, ‘The various economic policies by the President to put the country’s economy on the right path might seem painful, but they will, at the end, put smiles on the faces of the people.’
‘The hardship Nigerians are presently facing would soon be a thing of the past. It is true that the economy is not in good shape and Nigerians are going through a alot, finding it difficult to live a decent life.’
‘I believe the President knew this before he offered himself to govern the country and he is well prepared to tackle all these challenges.’
‘All we need to do is to continue to pray for the president, support him and be patient. There is no doubt that he is capable of fixing the economy.’
‘President Tinubu is a man with a private sector background. He worked in the banking and oil sector and believes he will use his wealth of experience to fix things.’
‘The removal of fuel subsidy and the monetary policy of the president will soon put the country on the right part. There will be improved electricity , job opportunities, improved security, infrastructure development, housing provision and food security.’
Oyintiloye, the ex-Osun Chairman of the defunct Directorate of Civic Engagement, spoke about Tinubu’s success at the tribunal and noted that it would allow the President to focus more on governance.
He expressed his appreciation for the judiciary’s crucial judgment, stating that it has, once again, solidified its position as the final hope for the common man.
He also applauded the President for appointing highly competent individuals to his team, contributing to the nation’s advancement.
Oyintiloye mentioned that it’s essential to commend the President for his focus on the “Renewed Hope Agenda” for the betterment of Nigerians.
He noted that the President’s sincere commitment to the “Renewed Hope” was evident when he explicitly instructed all his cabinet members to sign a performance bond during a retreat last week.
‘This shows that this government is taking the bull by the horn and putting individuals on their toes which will enhance effective performance and deliver good governance.’
‘This will further reaffirm the confidence of our people in the present democratic process,’ he said.
