APC’ll Not Rule Nigeria Beyond 2023, Makinde Tells Tinubu

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has reacted to the invasion of Igangan town in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State by gunmen.

Africa Today News, New York gathered that the gunmen, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, invaded the town around 11 pm on Saturday and left the town around 3 am on Sunday.

They also killed several residents of the town.

Reacting, Makinde urged residents of the community to remain calm. He said security operatives are on top of the situation.

‘I have received the shocking news of the attacks on residents of Igangan, Ibarapaland, in the early hours of this morning. I am currently being briefed on the incidents,’ he said.

‘I urge residents to remain calm as security operatives are now in control of the situation.’
