2023 Wike Will Work To Enthrone Tinubu As President –Masari

Ahead of Nigeria’s next presidential poll, Ibrahim Masari who happens to be the former placeholder to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC), presidential candidate, has disclosed that Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike was working for the party.

Speaking to told BBC Hausa Service on Wednesday, Masari asserted that Wike would work for Tinubu’s emergence as president in next year’s election.

‘The meeting was basically on the 2023 Presidential election and by God’s grace, we are going to work with His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike.

‘He will assist and we are going to win the election with ease, by the will of God,’ Masari said.

This is coming when Tinubu reportedly met with some governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, including Wike in London.

Africa Today News, New York had earlier reported that Wike and some of Wike’s PDP loyalists including Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State had traveled to the United Kingdom for a critical meeting.

Recall that Wike had been at loggerheads with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, since the party’s presidential primary election.

Wike is reported;y aggrieved that Atiku had ignored him in the choice of his running mate.

Atiku had settled for Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as his running mate, against the recommendations of PDP members.

Recall that Tinubu was missing at the 62nd annual conference of the Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA) which was held on Monday.

His major contenders for the general elections, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the Labour Party flag bearer, Peter Obi had all been spotted at the event which had taken place at the Eko Hotels, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

Tinubu’s running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima was, however, on ground.

The arrivals of the politicians had also shaken the auditorium as their supporters hailed their 2023 presidential candidates with rapturous applause.
