Paul Pogba has announced that he is reportedly back in training for his team Juventus after he had recovers from his knee injury, the Serie A club confirmed to AFP on Monday.
A spokesperson for Juventus had revealed to the AFP that France midfielder Pogba had also done some of his work on the training field on Sunday and Monday, buty he had not given an indication as to when he might return to action.
Pogba chose not to have surgery on the meniscus in his right knee, which he injured while training for Juve in July, in a bid to make the World Cup with his country this winter.
The former Manchester United player is also expected back in action this month but will miss his team’s Champions League trip to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday and their home fixture with Benfica the follow week.
In another report, while reacting to some of the recent reports have show that the French police have announced that they would be opening an investigation into World Cup winner, Paul Pogba’s claims that he is being threatened and targeted for extortion by some of the French gangsters.
Pogba’s allegations is also coming after his brother Mathiashad published a bizarre video online — in four languages (French, Italian, English and Spanish) — promising “great damning revelations” about the Juventus star.
A statement signed by his lawyers, his mother Yeo Moriba and current agent Rafaela Pimenta had revealed that the videos published on Saturday night “are unfortunately no surprise”.
“They are in addition to threats and extortion attempts by an organised gang against Paul Pogba,” read the statement.
“The competent bodies in Italy and France were informed a month ago and there will be no further comments in relation to the ongoing investigation.”
Mathias Pogba, 32, promised “great revelations about (his) brother Paul Pogba and his agent Rafaela Pimenta”, who took over as head of the company of former agent Mino Raiola who died in April.
