Why Ogun Lost $16bn Dangote Refinery To Lagos – Abiodun

The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun has finally insisted that Nigeria as a country must manage to remain as one indivisible country if it must attain its full potentials.

Abiodun had made this statement on Saturday while he had been delivering his speech at the celebration of Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Day Anniversary which had been held at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.

According to him, Nigerians must not allow the same factors that gave birth to Nigeria “be the same factors that will be impediments to its development.”

While he had also identified the fact that Nigeria has been passing through the most difficult of times, Abiodun had also urged the citizens to remain resolute and strong even in the face of challenges.

He cautioned Nigerians calling for secession to learn from nations that have been divided by these factors, stressing that “in unity lies our strength.”

“We should come together to harness the natural gifts bestowed on us for the development of our nation and increased prosperity of our people.

“Therefore, I urge us all to learn from nations that have been divided by these factors. In unity lies our strength.

“So, we are better together. Our interests are better served than going our different ways,” Abiodun said.

In a related development, Dapo Abiodun who is the Ogun State governor has reiterated that his administration will not be having any discriminations in the construction of roads regardless of their status of being local or federal roads as far as they have potentials that will promote economic activities in the state.

Governor Abiodun made this statement when he inspected the ongoing construction of the 25-kilometer Illisan- Ago-Iwoye road.

He reiterated that his government would repair or construct any road that would bring in more investors and enhance the economy of the state.
