‘Bola Tinubu is our candidate whom we all supported to get the ticket and we are sure we will not regret it.

‘Tinubu is a leader who will be just, fair and equitable to all’, he was quoted as saying.

The governor tasked the council to ensure total victory for the APC in the 2023 general elections.

He added that a vote for the ruling party would be a vote for progress and development.

Meanwhile, a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday struck out a request seeking to nullify the candidature of Bola Tinubu for the 2023 election.

Africa Today News, New York reports that the Action Peoples Party (APP) had sued the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential flagbearer to court.

In the case with Suit no. FHC/UM/CS/124/2022, the party joined the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the first defendant.

The former Lagos governor is the second defendant, and the ruling APC the third defendant.

The plaintiff argued that Tinubu allegedly submitted to the 1st defendant false information in his form EC9.

They said he failed to include his primary and secondary education in his form CF001 of 1999, submitted ahead of the gubernatorial election.

The APP cited section 29 of the Electoral Act 2022 and 131 of the 1999 Nigerian Constitution.
