Obi You Can’t Make Yourselves President, Umahi To Ndigbo

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi has asserted that the Igbo race in Nigeria alone cannot make themselves president as shown by the Presidential aspiration of Peter Obi

Umahi made the assertion on Monday while noting that he was never against the Southeast voting for Peter Obi during the last presidential election.

He spoke with his supporters at the Ebonyi international airport on Monday.

The governor pointed out that the Southeast must work with other regions to stand a chance of producing Nigeria’s president.

Umahi said: ‘The Southeast must work. It is not right to condemn Obi’s feat as the southeast has made a strong statement about it.’

‘The wise thing for the Igbos to do is to tell themselves the truth that we alone cannot make ourselves president.

In another report, the Chairman of Global Coalition for Better and Brighter Nigeria (CBBN), Prophet Isa El-Buba, has lambasted INEC accusing it of committing electoral fraud against the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, during the just concluded February 25 presidential polls.

Prophet El-Buba made this disclosure on Saturday while addressing Journalists in Jos and said Peter Obi was right to have claimed that he won the Presidential polls but denied the much-expected victory because of the alleged manipulation of the election by INEC.

El-Buba pointed out that his group is fully behind the position of Obi on the outcome of the presidential polls which the Labour candidate vowed to take to court for justice.
